Made in Tucson, AZ, this project was a logical follow-up to the earlier satirical photo essay on a midwestern suburban town.  Unlike this work, “Urban Development” addresses the strange, often comical uses of vegetation in the adornment of homes in the desert environment.  A moderately good-natured look at the unnatural uses of nature’s bouquet in the ornamentation

of the changing Tucson landscape...with irony, incongruity, elegance in strange places and strangeness in elegant places.
