Having photographed extensively in Texas Canyon in the mid-‘80s, I became intrigued with the idea of re-photographing some of the sites using digital color (see Portfolio H for the B&W prints).  I was able to walk some of the same paths and make a number of color images presenting the amazing rockforms, crevices and outcroppings of this extraordinary landscape.  The photos were made in just a few morning hours, and the plan is to return several more times to exploit the dramatic lighting later in the day.
