This group of 101 archival pigmented inkjet photographs was made in China on a nine-city visit during September-October, 2005.  In addition to providing a sense of place, they portray varying aspects of street life, including the humorous side of that life.  The group includes spontaneous and posed portraits, images of historic and scenic sites, and semi-abstractions. They make no pretense at profound insight or deep meaning, but are rather the fleeting impressions of a traveller quickly passing through a vast and fascinating place.
